Maria Herrera's post on Goodwall - We visited the public health department of the village of Nariño. The main learning I have got during this activity was that in public health is fundamental to build policies directly with the people that are receiving the interventions. Sometimes policies made in the capital city don’t address the needs of the people living in rurality because their voice is not being heard and their living conditions aren’t being understood.
