Tana Chagonda's post on Goodwall - #art #writer #writing #poetrybyme Hefty feet ferry me as far as the intersection. But having no knowledge of what the other path may lead to, I refused to pay full attention. One familiar path, now crowded by homely grasses and acquainted friends. Another path, roamed by scouling faces and peculiar pavings. The familiar path fends off unpleasant surprises, a path I know all too well yet it's familiarity drowns opportunities. The other I fear will swallow me into his well. Knowing not of the opportunities it may offer, but the sting in that it may be consumed by life's strangling devises. And so, a path I chose. Having come to the conclusion that the unfamiliar one may teach while the familiar one bites. Who's to say, the path I chose isn't the right one.
