Paulo Silva's post on Goodwall - #FBJC: The research project #LutandoPorElas emerged from the growing statistics of violence against women and feminicide in the Brazilian context, in order to literally fight for women who have no time and voice in Brazilian society, for women who still suffer in silence in a abusive relationship. The guiding principle of the research is social awareness, which takes place, mainly, through informative lectures on the theme, in order to and trigger a mutual and continuous movement for the life of Brazilian women, deconstructing the macho culture that plagues the country. The next steps are to expand the movement of awareness and dissemination of knowledge on the subject and the elaboration of the “Map of violence against women and feminicide in the northern region of Mato Grosso do Sul”, through the collection of data from small Brazilian urban centers. - now effective only in large metropolises -, with an emphasis on municipalities in the northern region of the state of Mato Grosso do Sul (with a special focus on the municipality of Sonora / MS), aiming to subsidize public agencies, with regard to domestic violence statistics and family and feminicide, so that they, within their attributions, implement effective public policies that guarantee the safety and life of women. #socialimpact #humansciences
