Eduarda Araujo's post on Goodwall - Hello, my name is Eduarda Araujo Carvalho and my project is: Visual Glasses 3.0: Glasses to assist in locomotion of the visually impaired with induction charging. My advisors in this project are Professor Gabriella and the creators of previous versions of Visual Glasses João Pedro and Ronald. Visual impairment is the most common among Brazilians and presents significant data at international levels. (i) Inserting a button to turn off the glasses, since, at times, the user may not need their features to be activated, in addition to saving the battery charge of the glasses; (ii) Allow the use of a battery integrated with the glasses, since in previous versions the battery was external and connected via a cable, being necessary to carry it in the pocket. (iii) Elimination of visible glasses wires / cables for battery charging, as already occurs with most electronic devices, such as smartphones, smartwatches and other smart wearable devices, using wireless technology, in order to allow the battery charging of glasses through induction, it is only necessary to position the glasses on the base for charging the battery; (iii) Improvement of the frame design, in order to make it adjustable, as it was realized that providing a single type of frame for the use of glasses is not ideal, when considering the anatomical diversity of the faces of the possible users.
