My project is: Clay dispersion in Oxisols after liming, gypsum and soil management Oxisols have a high natural acidity, which demands correctives to incorporate them into the production system. Due to the superficial application of limestone in the no tillage, the practice of scarification and gypsum are alternatives that aim to increase the mobility of limestone in the soil. However, both strategies impact the soil's physical attributes, especially the clay dispersed in water. Scarification destructures aggregates and rearrangement soil particles. The gypsum, although it does not elevate the pH, is a soil conditioner said as flocculating agent. The study aims to evaluate clay dispersion in Oxisols after liming associated with gypsum or scarification. There is an experiment on the delineation of randomized blocks in an experimental arrangement of subdivided plot, installed in the experimental area of IFRS Campus Ibirubá, in 2015. After 4 years of treatments application, undeformed soil samples were collected in layers 0 - 0.05; 0.05 - 0.10; 0.10 - 0.15 and 0.15 - 0.20 m, which were submitted to the determination of pH in water; and will be submitted to the determination of clay dispersed in sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and deionized water; for later calculation of the degree of flocculation. Regarding the pH in water, the gypsum did not show any effect and a higher value was observed in the surface layer and in the treatment in which liming associated to scarification was used. It is expected to diagnose the presence or not of clay dispersed in water in these treatments as well as in the soil layer in which it occurs. #FBJC
