Dalia Alic's post on Goodwall - Once in Nepal I had to deliver an unplanned speech in front of more than 300 students after a lovely introduction of Oscar Award Winner, Marc Baschet. What could I bring out that could be useful for these young souls, besides to encourage them to watch international films at the festival where I worked? I spoke my heart out. I told them that formal education is important but that it should never limit their dreams and future plans. That diploma is valuable, but it will never bring knowledge or experience as traveling the world. Lastly, I spoke about how grades are important, but not as much as being persistent and hopeful, because without it, we lose our real selves.
