Kyla Marie's post on Goodwall - Things we should always remember to survive in this year's pandemic. Embrace the NEW NORMAL. 🧼 Wash your hands with soap for at least 20-40 seconds. • Alternative : Pour a right amount of alcohol on your palms. Rub it until it dries. 📝Rationale : This will highly decrease the numbers of hardbored microorganisms from different places you got into. 🔗 Links : •https://www.cdc.gov/handwashing/when-how-handwashing.html •https://youtu.be/ZnSjFr6J9HI 😷 Always equip yourself with proper protective equipments (PPE). It is good observe the intact mask attached completely to your mouth and nose. Make sure that there will be no area of space just to make sure that you suit it well. • PPEs are the following: (1) Mask - It is advisable to use cloth masks rather than surgical masks. Although the surgical masks ensure at least 90% of not acquiring the droplet attributes ofnthe virus, still these PPEs are mostly needed by the health care workers. Let us not hoard. (2) Faceshield - Some countries, like us in the Philippines, require the community to at least provide this especially when riding on public transportation. 😟Do not wear surgical gloves if you are just buying things outside. Likewise, this was already designed mostly for the health care workers. Let us be considerate. Moreover, do not also wear cloth gloves. It is better to eradicate the microorganisms on hand through most efficient way, just put an alcohol and/or wash hands then it will fade away eventually. Unlike gloves, you will be washing it all over again. Tiring and bothersome. 📝 I have already included some rationale above. Always remember that these PPEs were made to cover our body opening, mainly the eyes and mouth. + Avoid touching MEN (mouth, ears, and nose) if you are not yet done with cleaning yourself. 🙅 Avoid social gatherings. Observe social distancing. The corona virus is classified to be in droplet form, meaning that it can be transmittable to people at least 3 feet. Therefore, at least 3 feet should be the distance between any other people. If not avoidable, just always leave a short space for you and do the rest of the things above. 🚮 THERE ARE PROPER DISPOSABLE OF EVERYTHING. BE RESPONSIBLE. In addition to this, do not touch the front of your mask upon taking it off. Rather loose the loop behind your ears and then put it in the bin and/or basin to wash. #StayAtHome #StaySafe #HomeQuarantine #Philippines #Health #BetterTogether Credits to the following site: https://www.health.state.mn.us/facilities/patientsafety/infectioncontrol/pre/droplet.html I am a student #nurse.
