Brian Atoli's post on Goodwall - This is Fort Jesus ,located in Mombasa ,Kenya .It is a historical site which was built by the Portuguese to protect the port of Mombasa against Arab invaders as well as African pirates . Its construction was made in the shape of a man lying on the ground and given the name of Jesus. When the British colonized Kenya, they used it as a prison, until 1958, when they converted it into a historical monument.#TourGuide
