In China, around 85% of the medical waste from Covid-19 was disposed in landfills! However, landfills are near maximum capacity. Landfills also have a huge environmental footprint, with harmful toxins leaking into our soil and groundwater. Recycling is our best option to sustainably dispose our waste. Yet citizens have few mechanisms for consistently recycling plastic, glass and paper waste. So how do we offer an easy and profitable way for people to recycle? How do we put the customer at the centre of the recycling chain? Think Uber Eats for your trash. Our platform, Plasticked collects waste and rewards citizens with financial incentives for recycling. Secondly, we provide an e-commerce platform where citizens can purchase eco-friendly products using these rewards.
