Goodwall is supporting the Covid-19 Youth Challenge launched by UNICEF and Generation Unlimited, to empower and motivate young people across Africa to share their solutions to the pandemic and the post-COVID world.
The coronavirus crisis has shaken and transformed our world. However, we are convinced that this uncertainty about the future can serve as the catalyst for creative and innovative ideas to arise – particularly among youth!
That is why Goodwall has joined UNICEF and Generation Unlimited in their launch of the Covid-19 Youth Challenge – an opportunity for African youth to pitch their solutions in response to the most pressing issues in their local communities caused by the pandemic. We believe in the power of youth to reshape the future of Africa, and are eager to hear your ideas!
In post-COVID times, where there is a lack of opportunities in the labor market for youth, this experience will help them develop essential entrepreneurial skills, encouraging them to come up with creative solutions to important problems, and helping them to stand out when applying to scholarships, jobs, and internships.
Participants complete the challenge on the Cartedo platform and have the chance to share their pitches, progress, and experience with the Goodwall community.
Those who complete the design thinking challenge will receive a certificate from UNICEF, are eligible for monetary prizes from Goodwall, and mentorship and soft skill training opportunities from prominent innovation hubs. Additionally, all participants will receive support from the Goodwall community.
