Overview

The COVID-19 crisis has negatively affected many communities, from disrupting food supplies and cancelling education opportunities to intensifying mental health problems. The Tech vs COVID Challenge was created by Goodwall and Al Nayzak to help young people around the MENA region look for innovative ideas on how we can use technology to combat the effects COVID-19 has on our communities.

Program participants will have the chance to win a prize: a brand new 2020 iPhone SE for the participant with the best idea selected by a jury. Members also get the opportunity to connect with over 1.5 million members from 150+ countries around the world.

Participation

From late June until the deadline of July 1, 2020, participants can submit their ideas about how to use technology to tackle the negative effects caused by the coronavirus crisis on the Goodwall platform.

Anyone from around the Middle East and North Africa can participate by signing up to Goodwall via web or by downloading the apps for iOS or Android. Once on Goodwall, eligible members can either pitch their innovative idea as a 60-second “virtual elevator pitch” video or as a written post of 150 words or less.

For those wishing to participate in the Tech vs COVID Challenge, see here.
